The AKG is an association of specialised architects working in the fields of hospital buildings and public health facilities. With support of quality assurance and increase of quality, they take part for efficient, human and economic healthcare, medical care and elder people’s welfare. They support young talented architects through competitions every two years. The AKG commit to goals and mission of the BDA, Association of German Architects, and campaign for reinforcement the position of freelancing architects.

The German Hospital Institute has been the leading educational institute for hospitals in Germany for nearly 60 years. In addition to the wide range of further educational courses for all major expert groups in the hospital and health care sector the German Hospital Institute is leader in research and consulting. Since 1953 multitude of research projects, studies and analysis has influenced the hospital and health care sector in Germany. A wide range of consulting services are offered to hospitals, their responsible bodies and other clients. Supporting organisations of the German Hospital Institute are the German Hospital Federation, the Association of German Hospital Managers and the Association of Hospital Medical Superintendents. EMTC 2012

The European Medical Travel Conference (EMTC2012) is the second largest international platform for medical tourism and associated topics and will take place in Berlin from 25 th to 27 th of April 2012.
